Sandvik comments on City Court ruling in patent dispute between Sandvik and Atlas Copco

Today, the Stockholm City Court announced its ruling in the patent dispute between Sandvik and Atlas Copco.

The City Court concluded that Sandvik's patent is valid, but that Atlas Copco has not infringed the patent. Sandvik's suit involved patents related to steering and control of drill rigs.

"Naturally, we had hoped for a positive ruling for Sandvik, but we are also aware that this is a complicated case," says Sandvik's General Counsel Bo Severin.

Sandvik will now carefully review the ruling and the reasoning in support of the judgment.
