We are seeking a Buyer to support our purchasing team by sourcing quotations, raising purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, ensuring accurate receipting and closing of orders. The role also handles petty purchases, vehicle servicing requests, and invoice reconciliation to ensure efficient and cost‑effective operations.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Sourcing and evaluating supplier quotations for approval
- Creating and managing Purchase Orders
- Liaising with local and international suppliers to meet required lead times
- Ensuring goods received are properly receipted by the Invoicing and Receipting Section and purchase orders are closed out
- Handling petty purchases
- Managing all vehicle servicing requests
- Reconciling supplier invoices for payment
- Working towards achieving set departmental KPIs
- Adhering to all Sandvik policies and procedures, especially SHEQ standards
Qualification
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Purchasing & Supply
- Part qualification in CIPS or an equivalent professional certification
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience in technical analysis
- Working knowledge of Aurora Software
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Valid driver’s license (preferably Class B) and ability to drive
- Adherence to all Sandvik policies and procedures, especially SHEQ standards
