We are currently seeking a Shop Hand to support our operations for Inrock Drilling Systems, located in Leduc, Alberta. Inrock is the industry-recognized global leader in performance drilling tools, equipment and services with sales and operations facilities globally. This role plays a critical part in maintaining equipment readiness, supporting warehouse and shop operations, and ensuring safe, efficient day-to-day workflows.

What you will be doing

  • Complete servicing of equipment returning from the field and follow established re-stocking procedures, including proper inventory relief for each piece of equipment

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, warehouse, and yard

  • Ship and receive tooling, parts, and equipment; coordinate shipments with salespeople and managers

  • Load, unload, stage, and move materials, parts, and equipment

  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely (grinders, drills, etc.)

  • Pressure wash, buff, and paint tooling as required

  • Assist with receiving new parts and follow established stocking procedures

  • Assist with inventory control, asset tracking, and counts (cycle counts and full counts)

  • Provide input to supervisors to improve efficiency, tool reliability, and reduce repair costs

  • Perform basic maintenance on shop equipment and report issues promptly

  • Coordinate with outside vendors to ensure equipment is serviced and ready for use

  • Assist operations teams with filling sales orders when possible

  • Create shipping documents in NAV

  • Perform general warehouse maintenance and housekeeping

  • Participate in an on-call rotation

  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Manager

  • Comply with all aspects of the Inrock / Sandvik EHS Policy and safe work procedures

  • Follow safety protocols, perform risk assessments, and report hazards

  • Wear required PPE at all times

  • Work safely in both indoor and outdoor environments

What you will bring along

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)

  • Strong written and oral English communication skills

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record

  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and NAV

  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools

  • Ability to operate or willingness to learn forklift, overhead crane, and front-wheeled loader

  • Ability to lift 50–100 lbs and perform physically demanding work

  • Ability to work safely in indoor and outdoor environments

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

  • Good organizational and time-management skills

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Willingness to learn and adapt

  • Safety-focused mindset

Working Conditions

  • Combination of indoor and outdoor work environments

  • Exposure to moving machinery, chemicals, fumes, and noise

  • Occasional overtime, weekend work, and on-call duties may be required
