Currently, we have an opening for a Component Planning and Forecasting Specialist. In this role, you will develop and manage the local component exchange program, ensuring alignment with global standards while maximizing sales and profitability. You’ll work closely with sales, planning, and inventory teams to optimize processes, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive continuous improvement across operations.

What you will be doing
- Create the local component exchange program (using the global outline).
- Train sales and admin staff on the new processes and sales techniques for the exchange program.
- Develop and communicate product selection and offering to be sold in the sales areas.
- Build strong relationships with the local sales teams (CSSRs, PSSRs, Account Managers, Inventory teams).
- Use gap analysis and fleet management tools to identify opportunities for inclusion into the program, as well as sales strategies for components and rebuilds.
- Review information provided by the sales area to ensure parts availability and delivery capability to meet customer requirements.
- Co-ordinate and review inventory forecasts, providing input for the quarterly volume forecasts.
- Accountable for the value and maintenance of any component exchange inventories.
- Monitor Parts OSMI together with Central Planning teams to drive commercial or other initiatives to reduce OSMI inventory.
- Ensure consistency of pricing of components and rebuild parts, working with the BLM and the global parts portfolio managers.
- Follow profitability, correcting deviations when necessary.
- Follow up with the workshops on the progress of cores being repaired and make process changes if needed when repairs are not within acceptable job costs.
- Support the analysis of financial forecasts to ensure alignment with strategic goals, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead operational and opportunity forecasting by evaluating market dynamics, customer demand, and internal capabilities to inform planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate financial and operational insights into forecasting models and business strategies.
What you will bring along
- University Degree or College Diploma in Business Administration or a related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of Supply Chain Management experience or 7 years of Supply Chain experience including Inventory, Forecasting and Demand Planning
- Previous experience in a mining environment would be preferred
- Computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel and other related systems)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail
