VP Supply Chain & Operations, Rotary Drilling

Sandvik Mining has an opportunity for a Vice President of Supply Chain and Operations in Rotary Drilling Division in Alachua, Florida (USA).

YOUR MISSION

In this role, you will influence the division strategy as part of the management team while overseeing the execution within the Supply Chain and Operations organization for Rotary Drilling, driving cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless product delivery to customers while optimizing operations, developing supplier partnerships, and leading teams to deliver measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Participate in Division’s strategy development and lead implementation within Supply Chain function
Monitor Division-level KPIs and drive improvement initiatives to achieve performance targets
Design and optimize the Division's supply network footprint to meet business objectives

Operational Excellence

Oversee daily supply chain operations including production planning, sourcing, quality, and EHS compliance
Manage new product launches from supply chain perspective, ensuring smooth ramp-up and integration
Lead product transfers between manufacturing sites while minimizing disruption

Supplier & Sourcing Management

Build and maintain a resilient supplier base while tracking cost, delivery, and quality performance
Collaborate with Product Development and Product Management department to identify alternative supply components and drive modularization where possible
Implement strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize cost and supply security

Continuous Improvement & People Development

Drive continuous improvement programs across manufacturing network to enhance environmental, health, safety and productivity
Share best practices and create synergies between sites within the Division, and Business Area as appropriate
Lead the Supply teams to attract, engage, develop, and retain top talent
Foster team building and drive competence development across the organization

YOUR PROFILE

Education

Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering or Business

Experience

Operating in production management for 10+ years in large organizations (100+ FTE), preferably multi-site
Leading Environmental Health & Safety programs and/or function
Working in complex, interdisciplinary, cross-functional global teams
Implementing change management and continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
Delivering results on time with high quality in industrial manufacturing environments

Engaging with technology applications in automation, electrification, and digitalization (preferred)
Supporting ERP system implementations such as SAP (preferred)
Working internationally (preferred)

Competencies

Deep knowledge of production management, sourcing principles, and supply chain processes (S&OP, etc.)
Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent English required, other languages an asset
Proven leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
Understanding of employment law principles
