About the Role:
The Supply Chain & Inventory Professional is responsible for ensuring the efficient, timely, and cost‑effective flow of direct materials throughout the organization. This role oversees supplier performance, sourcing activities, inventory control, logistics coordination, and system optimization to support operational excellence, quality standards, and financial objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
Supplier Performance Management
Ensure direct materials are available at the point of use, on time, at required quality levels, and at minimum cost
Manage supplier schedules and maintain continuous, efficient material flow
Design & refine material flows to support production and reduce bottlenecks
Anticipate supply risks and implement proactive corrective actions
Expedite critical deliveries when needed
Manage complex material supply chains and improve transparency
Align administrative processes with material movements
Control inventory levels, reduce waste, and minimize waiting times
Sourcing
Develop and manage an effective RFQ process
Lead supplier contract negotiations
Manage strategic supplier relationships
Identify single-source risks and implement mitigation strategies
Maintain accurate master data for top spend categories
Develop and refine long-term sourcing strategies
Achieve supplier financial targets, including FCO budgets
Supply Base Management
Build and sustain strong supplier partnerships
Ensure supplier delivery, cost, and quality performance
Inventory & Logistics Management
Plan and control all direct materials while ensuring customs compliance
Support logistics processes for uninterrupted supply of materials
Control & maintain finished inventory, raw materials, shipping supplies
Support business controlling with monthly inventory reconciliation
Maintain efficient inventory management practices for all material
Systems & Process Optimization
Lead and coordinate local ERP upgrade initiatives
Maintain project timelines and apply structured frameworks
Develop and coordinate training plans for local stakeholders
Improve system processes for traceability and consolidated reporting
Ensuring compliance with local legislation and Sandvik processes is your priority
Active contributions to achieving organizational goals
Support establishment of standard process & procedures and keep them up to date
Work closely with US and International Supply Chain teams to mitigate risks
Limited travel within the US and EU may be required

Education / Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business or communications OR equivalent work experience
Prior Supply Chain/Procurement/Inventory experience has been your focus
Experience with SAP preferred
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
SAP experience is preferred
Limited travel within the US and EU may be required

Pay/Hours
Pay is dependent on experience with starting pay 80k to 94k
Normal Working hours Monday - Friday 8:30am to 5pm, with other hours as needed.
