Procurement and Production Planning Manager

The Rock Drills Technology Unit is responsible for the product development, supply and support of premium rock drill offering for Surface Drilling and Underground Drilling applications as well as for global aftermarket and service. Our expertise in best-in-class rock drilling technology is recognized globally, and it drives us to continue excel through innovation in rock drills, digital products and supply chain excellence. We are now looking for a Procurement and Production Planning Manager. This position is full-time, permanent and located at Tampere Myllypuro site. Your mission is to drive optimization of sourcing and planning processes to ensure efficiency, availability and supply continuity.

You are key driver delivering our strategy with high ambitions to improve supply chain performance reporting to the head of manufacturing and supply chain.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement and planning team including sourcing, purchasing and supply planning
  • Ensure supply planning and forecast alignment in sales and operation planning
  • Own and develop manufacturing and supply chain capacity planning to meet the high ambitions of our strategic objectives
  • Drive material availability in time, quality and cost through structured and clear sourcing strategy and ensure high resilience in any local or global supply chain disruptions
  • Develop online Supply chain performance tracking and reporting to ensure high level of transparency and quick decision making
  • Monitor continuously supplier markets, internal metrics, global trends to identifies risks proactively and execute mitigation actions urgently
  • Ensure compliance with local requirements and with Sandvik’s standards and policies
  • Encourage innovation in products and services through internal stakeholder and supplier network collaboration
  • Foster Rock Drills product IPR and manufacturing know-how

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Business in relevant discipline
  • Several years of experience of successfully leading teams in procurement and/or planning
  • Proven track record of successful supply chain development through processes and IT systems
  • Strong analytical, strategical and negotiation skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Fluency in English and Finnish is mandatory to be successful in the role
