Sourcing Category Manager
Sandvik has solid Indirect Procurement country organizations, team Finland being one of them. There is now an open Sourcing Category Manager position available in our team. Would it be you?
Indirect Procurement team Finland is an active part of a decentralized organization in which we play an integral role as a category driven, efficient and a resilient procurement organization. We are currently looking for an experienced sourcing professional to reinforce our team. The role is full-time, permanent and located in Tampere or Turku.
Your role
As a Sourcing Category Manager, you have category responsibilities and a clear role in implementing other sourcing related processes. In this role you will be responsible for creating sourcing category strategy including a lot of stakeholder and supplier cooperation. Contract management and supplier negotiations are key part of the job. You ensure the fulfillment of procurement policies and processes, as well as compliance with ethical standards, sustainability, relevant laws and regulations.
Your background and what we find important
You have a suitable educational background (e.g. Bachelor or Master’s degree in Sourcing, Marketing, Supply Chain, Business or Engineering) in a relevant field and several years’ practical experience. You have good negotiation skills, and you create and maintain good relations with both internal and external stakeholders. You are organized and have passion to further develop the current way of working.
Good knowledge of sourcing and contracting processes is required. Your communication skills in Finnish and English are excellent. Your previous experience in professional services – either as a sourcing representative or as a business owner – is regarded as a merit. You need to have team spirit and curiosity with an analytical mindset and a passion for reaching the business’ goals.
