Sourcing

Purchaser

Are you ready to take the next step in your procurement career? We’re looking for a driven and analytical purchaser to join our procurement team at Sandvik Coromant. This is an exciting opportunity if you’re eager to grow commercially, thrive on data analysis and want to make a real difference in how we manage supplier relationships and purchasing strategies.

Your mission

In this position, you're responsible for supporting sourcing activities, primarily within the MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) category – focusing on data analysis, digital tools and process optimization. Collaborating with strategic purchasers and stakeholders is key as you contribute to supplier development, contract management and process improvements. As you take responsibility for supporting large tenders, you ensure data accuracy, supplier follow-up, and transparent documentation. Your work helps drive cost savings, optimize supplier performance and implement category strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Optimizing the supplier base and driving supplier development.
  • Handling short-term sourcing requests and urgent purchasing needs.
  • Managing RFI/RFQ processes and conducting spend, cost, and scenario analyses.
  • Using digital tools such as Excel, SAP, and Power BI to analyze procurement data and support decision-making.
  • Proposing and leading process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency.

The location for this position is Västberga or Gimo, and we apply a hybrid work solution.

Your profile

We’re looking for someone with a few years of relevant experience in sourcing —ideally within MRO categories. Strong digital skills are essential, especially in Excel, and you’re comfortable working with tools like SAP. Knowledge of Power BI and Ariba is a plus. Your background includes a university degree in economics, supply chain or engineering. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, verbally and in writing, and can confidently engage with stakeholders across different functions and locations.

You bring energy, curiosity and a strong commercial mindset. You’re analytical, structured and business-oriented with a natural drive to deliver results and improve processes. Building relationships comes easily to you, and you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. With a curiosity for how purchasing drives value, you crunch numbers, analyze trends and turn insights into actionable outcomes. You take initiative, enjoy solving problems, and are eager to grow within procurement.
