Regional Training Manager – Perth, Western Australia ( Kewdale)
About the Opportunity
This role ensures our sales organisation have the technical capability to effectively manage and support underground drilling equipment fleets. You will uplift regional teams in optimised drilling practices, equipment operation, and essential maintenance while delivering high-quality customer training on underground drilling solutions. You will design and facilitate regional programs that strengthen operator proficiency, enhance machine productivity, and drive adoption of digital drilling tools and simulation technologies. Working in partnership with the Global Training Centre of Excellence, you’ll continuously assess competency levels, identify gaps, and deploy targeted technical training interventions—using modern learning methodologies to build long-term capability.
Given the regional scope across APAC, frequent domestic and international travel will be an integral part of this position.
Responsibilities:

Technical Training & Capability Uplift
- Deliver high-quality technical training to internal teams and external customers, adapting content to varied experience levels.
- Facilitate engaging classroom and field-based training covering safe operation, performance optimisation, essential maintenance and best practice operation.
- Build operator and technician capability across iSeries underground drills, including drilling optimisation, troubleshooting and digital solutions.
- Design regional training programs and competency pathways tailored to local applications (e.g., development, production, rock support).
- Drive adoption and effective use of digital learning platforms, simulators and interactive training technologies to enhance learner engagement.
- Develop and maintain accurate, engaging and up-to-date training resources, aligned to global standards and regional requirements.
- Assess field competency levels, identify capability gaps, and deploy targeted upskilling interventions with measurable outcomes.
- Partner closely with regional sales teams, customers and global technical experts to support capability uplift and operational performance.
About you:
You are an energetic and forward‑thinking technical trainer with strong hands‑on experience in underground drilling equipment. You can translate complex technical concepts into practical, high‑impact training for operators, technicians and customers, and you communicate confidently across diverse, multicultural environments. You bring proven experience delivering technical training and coaching, supported by strong facilitation and presentation skills, and a solid understanding of underground hard rock mining processes, drilling methods and tooling requirements. You have deep technical knowledge of Sandvik iSeries underground drills, including optimisation, troubleshooting and digital tools, and are comfortable using modern learning approaches such as digital platforms, simulators and interactive technologies. You are structured, self‑motivated and able to work independently across multiple countries, with the flexibility and willingness to travel regularly to support regional teams and customers. You hold a relevant technical qualification and training/assessment credentials (or are willing to obtain them), along with significant practical experience in underground drilling operations, maintenance or technical support.
