Export Sales Manager – Middle Asia

About the role
Export Sales Manager – Middle Asia is responsible for developing and managing export sales activities across Middle Asian markets (e.g. Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Georgia).
The role combines commercial sales leadership with tender management, contract negotiation, and legal compliance tasks, ensuring profitable and sustainable growth in complex regulatory environments.
Location of successful candidate is flexible with necessary travels to the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Market Development
• Develop and execute export sales strategies for Middle Asia in line with company objectives
• Identify and develop new business opportunities with distributors, key accounts, and governmental / industrial customers
• Manage and grow existing customer and distributor networks
• Prepare and deliver sales forecasts, budgets, and market reports
• Monitor market trends, competitors, pricing, and regulatory changes
Tender Management
• Identify, evaluate, and participate in public and private tenders across Middle Asian markets
• Coordinate the full tender lifecycle:
- tender documentation review
- technical and commercial offer preparation
- pricing strategy and margin control
- submission and post-tender negotiations
- Act as the main commercial interface with tender authorities, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with tender requirements, deadlines, and local regulations
Contracts & Legal Coordination
• Lead commercial contract negotiations with customers, distributors, and partners
• Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Compliance, and Supply Chain teams on:
- sales contracts
- distribution agreements
- tender-related contracts
• Ensure all contracts comply with international trade laws, sanctions, export control regulations, and local legislation
• Support resolution of contractual claims, disputes, and amendments
• Ensure correct application of Incoterms, payment terms, guarantees, penalties, and delivery conditions
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Legal, Finance, Logistics, Operations, and Product Management teams
• Coordinate export documentation, customs requirements, certifications, and compliance processes
• Align pricing, discount policies, and payment terms with internal governance
• Support internal audits and compliance reviews related to export activities
Relationship & Stakeholder Management
• Build long-term relationships with key customers, distributors, government bodies, and tender authorities
• Represent the company in negotiations, trade fairs, and regional events
• Act as a trusted commercial partner for internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with relevant work experience
• 5+ years of experience in export sales or international business, preferably in Middle Asia or CIS markets
• Proven experience in tender management and contract negotiations
• Strong understanding of international trade regulations, Incoterms, export control, and sanctions compliance
• Experience working with Legal and Finance departments on complex contracts
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
