Key Account Manager

We are seeking a Key Account Manager (KAM) based in UB Head Office:

JOB PURPOSE:

The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for achieving sustainable financial and market share growth of the designated key customer account through overall coordination of the local business and engagement with global account related customer stakeholders with respect to key decision makers affecting the local customer account. The role needs to be the expert on all customer affairs and business requirements combined with a strong understanding of Sandvik’s product & service offering, which are critical to identifying business opportunities, developing a winning strategy and situation-specific action plans to achieve sustainable growth for the overall Sandvik Mining offering.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Determine Sandvik’s position with the customer (e.g., demographics and product portfolio white spots/market share surveys and detailed stakeholder mapping)
  • Identify business opportunities for entire Sandvik Mining offering such as Rock Tools, Parts & Service, Load & Haul, Ground Support, Underground Drilling, Surface Drilling, Digital Mining Technologies and Mechanical Cutting incl. growth of aftermarket solutions and capital equipment forecasting
  • Develop account vision, strategic objectives, collaboration roadmap, opportunity mapping, focus areas/success factors, and all action plans – supporting the customer in becoming successful in meeting their goals/strategy while maintaining a strong focus on internal objectives
  • Set commercial and operational directions for local team members and strong involvement in site-level planning (division by division)
  • Proactively share/develop business plans with each of the relevant Division’s representatives to achieve alignment, buy-in and create a collaborative working environment (business line representatives/managers)
  • Be responsible for monitoring and the implementation of set plans through close collaboration and follow up with relevant internal stakeholders
  • Forecast and achieve revenue budgets and sales targets in alignment with respective business lines/divisions
  • Conduct regular Sandvik NPS survey to assess customer experience with Sandvik offering and follow-up improvement action plans to continuously improve customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for calculations of budgetary and investments providing the company & the responsible account with all necessary details
  • Required to develop and maintain strong stakeholder understanding through constant mapping for all internal and external stakeholders (Local Organization, Local Department Managers, Regional Management Team, Business Line Representatives and Executive Management)
  • Coordinate and rally internal initiatives and support when required
  • Utilize established relationships to support the business & customer
  • Manage projects and collaborations to enhance long-term customer relationships at all levels

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, Mining, Business management or Marketing, or similar related degree.
  • Fluent in English Language and excellent communication in English and Mongolian
  • Formal qualifications or experience in mining, heavy machinery or equivalent discipline combined with previous successful achievement in sales activities or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through practical work experience
  • Presentation development and execution to a high standard
  • Excel usage for data analysis and business case development
  • Leadership of a team (Particularly leading without authority) and able to build relationships with different kinds of stakeholders
  • Discuss Macro and Micro Economic impacts to business with stakeholders
  • Able to work/visit and conduct business meetings and training in OTUG mine site environment
