Vice President, Sales Area Central Africa
The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President to lead our Central Africa Sales Area, covering 14 countries and approximately 550 employees through direct and indirect sales channels. This is a high-impact role with full P\&L responsibility across four legal entities, focused on business growth, compliance, and team leadership in a complex, customer centric, and evolving market.
Key Responsibilities
Lead general management and sales development across Zambia, Tanzania, DRC, and 11 additional Central African countries
Drive revenue growth and expand market share
Strengthen customer relationships and team engagement through people-centric, target-driven leadership
Navigate local content regulations, compliance requirements, and pandemic-related restrictions
Resolve supply chain challenges and improve operational efficiency
Serve as Board Member for three subsidiaries, chairing two, and contribute to strategic governance and performance improvement
Develop and execute Sales Area strategy in collaboration with Mining’s divisions
Champion business development and secure key strategic deals for sustainable growth
Build a customer-centric, agile, and high-performing organization that embraces continuous improvement
Lead and inspire the Sales Area management team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence
Attract, retain, and develop top talent, championing initiatives for a more inclusive and representative workforce
Build strong local succession capabilities for key personal and strategic and business critical groups of employees
Ensure compliance with safety policies and all relevant government, industry, and customer regulations
Represent the Sales Area in global forums and contribute to Sandvik Mining’s broader success
