We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified local Service Technician to join our growing Virginia branch.

We’re looking for a proactive and skilled professional to carry out efficient diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on our cutting-edge mobile equipment used in the mining and construction industries.
As the go-to expert for our state-of-the-art mobile equipment, you’ll ensure peak performance and reliability, boosting productivity for our customers by applying your proactive approach to machine performance. Your efforts will drive success by helping our customers achieve their operational goals, expanding our customer base, and growing our support team. To support you, we offer comprehensive product training to keep you at the top of your game, along with dedicated support from our expert product support personnel.
Roster: Monday – Thursday (38 hour week equivalent)
Responsibilities
- Maintenance and Servicing Equipment.
- Plan for correct tools and parts required to perform tasks, according to work procedures.
- Commissioning of products that includes pre-delivery inspections and hot (operational and at customer site) commissioning.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to identify and solve common problems, as a first line support.
- Identify components, understand basic functionality, and conduct maintenance and repair work accordingly. This includes the provision of preventive and cost-efficient repairs.
- Support the customer’s product/equipment/processes by suggesting possible improvements. (According to sales area requirements.)
- Uses knowledge and experience to solve standard problems for customers.
- Understands system functionality and interactions of hydraulics/mechanics/electrics/automation/pneumatics/materials.
- Complete maintenance reports for internal and external stakeholders e.g., report and document on maintenance and/or repairs completed. Obtain customer authorization to invoice.
- Occasionally collect technical feedback in Sales Area (inputs into Database).
- Assigns simple tasks to junior staff and guides them in completing them.
- Coach customer technicians on basic servicing and maintenance principles.
- Ensures that routine work procedures (using the tools provided), are carried out according to safety standards.
About you
We are looking for a local with an Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Certification. Your demonstrated experience with trucks, loaders, and drilling mobile mining equipment will be a distinct advantage. You should have a strong and proven safety culture, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong customer service focus. Your motivation and determination to achieve targets and goals, along with a proactive, self-motivated attitude and the ability to take initiative, are essential. Basic computer literacy and a Class C Manual Driver’s License are required. Additionally, you must be able to pass regular drug and alcohol screening.
