Sales Manager – Parts & Services
Sandvik Mining and Construction Zambia is a Sales Unit based in Kitwe, within Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, a Business Area, a leading supplier of equipment and tools, service and support for the mining industry. We also provide solutions and knowledge in a wide range of applications such as rock drilling, rock cutting, loading and hauling, tunnelling and quarrying.

As Sales Manager – Parts & Services, you will be responsible for developing and executing both tactical and long-term sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share in the assigned regional market segments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including operations, inventory, portfolio, pricing, and product support to deliver tailored aftermarket solutions to our customers.
In this role, you will:
Drive profitable sales growth through proactive business development and account management.
Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships, ensuring a deep understanding of their business needs, challenges, and decision-making processes.
Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to deliver results, improve customer satisfaction, and strengthen Sandvik’s market position.
Identify and penetrate underdeveloped market opportunities by leveraging market intelligence and competitor analysis.
Oversee sales forecasting, pipeline management, and the use of CRM and business intelligence tools to track performance and identify trends.
Collaborate with pricing and inventory teams to ensure competitive offerings and strategic stock availability.
Ensure commercial compliance, cost management, and achievement of agreed KPIs.
Promote and uphold Sandvik’s Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards.
This position requires extensive technical sales experience, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in delivering results within the mining industry sectors.
Key Requirements
Education & Qualifications
Technical qualification or trade certificate required; university degree in a related field is advantageous.
Experience
8–10 years of proven sales and sales management experience in technical sales, preferably in mining or heavy industry.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial negotiations with large customers.
Strong track record in developing and executing successful sales strategies.
Extensive experience managing customer relationships and delivering profitable business growth.
Skills & Competencies
Deep understanding of customer and market dynamics within the mining and industrial sectors.
Strong leadership abilities with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and team development.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficient in CRM (Salesforce preferred), business intelligence tools (QlikView, Power BI), and Microsoft Office applications.
Demonstrated ability to analyse market data, identify opportunities, and implement growth initiatives.
Results-driven mindset with strong business and financial acumen.
Other Requirements
Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
