Sandvik Mining, a global leader in mining and rock excavation, has an opening for a Distribution Focused Parts and Service Sales Representative (PSSR).

This is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals with a degree in Mining Engineering (or a related field) who are eager to build a career in technical sales and customer solutions. In this role, you’ll learn the business from the ground up, work directly with dealers and customers, and help connect cutting-edge Sandvik equipment and services with real-world mining operations.

This position requires travel throughout the defined region and will be based out of Denver, CO or Smyrna, GA on a flexible hybrid schedule.

Job Responsibilities

Critical Tasks/Responsibilities

  • Strategy: Support and execute the Parts and Service action plan to grow profitable sales across Sandvik’s portfolio.

  • Territory: Build awareness of the Sandvik brand and product offering in your assigned region. Engage with stakeholders in the dealer sales channel and gain a strong understanding of local business environments and market trends.

  • Fleet: Learn how to perform fleet analysis with guidance from senior Product Specialists. Help identify opportunities for parts and service sales while keeping fleet information up to date.

  • Customer Focus: Develop trusted relationships with dealers and their customers. Learn how to identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions that maximize value.

  • Effective Communication: Communicate clearly and confidently with a wide variety of audiences—dealers, customers, and internal teams—to gain alignment and support.

  • Relationship Management: Work closely with people from many different backgrounds and cultures. Leverage your technical knowledge, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities to strengthen partnerships.

  • Training and Development: Take part in ongoing training opportunities with Sandvik experts and actively develop your skills in both technical knowledge and customer engagement.

Additional Duties

  • Follow up on pending parts orders and backorders with dealers and customers.

  • Assist with machine down situations, learning how to provide fast and effective solutions.

  • Offer alternative product or service solutions where appropriate to increase satisfaction and strengthen partnerships.

  • Document dealer inquiries and update opportunities in Salesforce.

  • Follow standard Sandvik processes and company policies.

Basic Minimum Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • 0–3 years of experience in mining, heavy equipment, or a technical sales-related role (internships, co-ops, or early career experience welcomed).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Confident presenter with solid written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Salesforce or similar CRM is a plus.

  • Highly organized, motivated, and eager to learn, with a problem-solving mindset.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the sales region and to Sandvik internal meetings/trainings.
