Director Sales and Marketing - Asia
Job Summary
As a regional sales and marketing director you will be responsible to develop sales within your geographic area* assigned managing both direct and indirect sales and technical marketing for our CAD/CAM solutions specialized in mold and die business. This role involves managing a team of sales representative(s) and technical support engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions and services that meet customer requirements and aligned with business objectives and strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales growth: Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing revenue in Asia*. Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management. Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships through partnering with them and understanding their needs by building trust quickly.
- Strategic business plan: Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence in Asia*. Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new solutions and competition status within your geographic area. Implement the business plan and set the sales and service team and marketing message at the right pace of the growth to ensure profitability targets.
- Team Management: Own objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales and technical team, resellers, and partners in the respective region. Manage day-to-day activities while delegating and ensuring team efficiency.
- Recruitment and employee development: Drive the recruitment and onboarding process for new team members and provide ongoing training and career development for them.
- Performance Monitoring: Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and set goals for team members to foster a high-performance culture and ensure the right opportunity to grow for each team member.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, and all relevant internal and external stakeholders, to define requirements and deliverables.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering and/or in business and marketing.
- Experience: 15+ years of experience in CAD/CAM business in Asia with already multiple countries managing both sales, field marketing and technical team*. Strong Experience negotiating and understanding complex sales. Large experience from working in a multi-cultural, international company and ideally in mold and die market.
- Language: Fluent proficiency in English and another language in Asia
- Sales and marketing abilities: Proven ability to effectively navigate to and communicate with key decision-makers to close sales, and create technical marketing messages to the mold, tool, and die community. Active communications with local media focused on mold, tool, and die community.
- Communication Skills: Ability to build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with all stakeholders. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; ability to interface and gain trust cross-functionally.
- Management Skills: Proven ability to staff in planning, provide regular performance feedback, motivate a team, develop subordinates' skills, and encourages growth, manage conflicts, and drive results., decision-making, facilitating and process improvement.
