About the opportunity

We are currently seeking several enthusiastic and skilled HD Fitters / Auto Electricians for our Field Service team supporting sites in the Pilbara and covering all other mining areas of Western Australia.

As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our customers with maintenance and repair on a range of surface Boom/Rotary drills, and their subcomponents including hydraulic, electrical, and automation systems.

This role offers a fly-in-fly-out arrangement from Perth on a flexible roster (8:6 / 5:2 / 4:3/ 14:7), with travel to different customer sites across WA.


Roster: 8:6, 5:2, 4:3 OR 14:7, 12hr day shift only.
Responsibilities

  • Take charge of mechanical duties, performing maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis on all Sandvik Mining equipment.

  • Execute mechanical maintenance tasks according to plans, ensuring equipment integrity and safe operation at all times.

  • Drive efficiency by providing insightful feedback for maintenance planning improvements.

  • Keep meticulous records of parts usage, equipment monitoring, and time logs.

  • Champion safety by adhering to all policies and procedures, especially Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies.

About you

  • Relevant Trade Qualification.

  • Experience maintaining surface drilling (boom and rotary).

  • Commitment to safety for yourself and your team.

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and demonstrates initiative.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Basic computer literacy.

  • Current Manual Driver’s License.

  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical, reference, police, and regular onsite drug & alcohol testing.

  • Experience on DI650 / DP1500 / Pantera / Leopard drills desirable.
