The role

This role primarily revolves around ensuring the safety of personnel and fostering the growth and financial success of the Field Service business. It involves overseeing the tasks of all supervisors and tradespeople who are involved in all areas of Field service. This includes coordinating with a range of internal and external stakeholders and handling warranty claim procedures. An integral part of this role is also to provide exceptional customer service and strive to meet customer needs effectively and fulfil the business needs of Sandvik.

Areas of responsibility

• Providing supervision and direction to team members.

• Undertaking all planning requirements to ensure utilisation of labour and resources in an effective manner.

• Coordinating field service technicians on a day-to-day basis in relation to the needs of the customer and business.

• Processing and responding to warranty claims as per Sandvik processes.

• Development and training of field service personnel.

• Communicate clearly and work with all business lines to provide a consistent service and support to our customers in the region.

• Customer liaison and site visits as required.

• Meet KPI’s and prepare weekly and monthly reporting.

Your profile

This role requires previous supervisory experience in a mechanical workshop environment coupled with trade qualifications in a mechanical discipline (minimum of 5 years post trade experience). A Certificate IV or Diploma in Business (Front Line Management) would be advantageous.

You will have a strong EHS management culture with a drive and determination to achieve company targets and goals. A positive and proactive outlook with excellent communication skills to ensure customer expectations are achieved.
