R&D Engineer – Down-The-Hole

The scope
We enhance the business by providing product development, research, and technical support to our Down-The-Hole product line. As the demands on our products become more and more challenging, You’ll play a key role in ensuring increased performance and keeping our market leading position – we offer you an exciting opportunity to let your creativity flow and to take part in breaking new ground!
Your mission
In this position, you engage in development projects in close collaboration with stakeholders at our production units, to find solutions fulfilling our customers’ needs. You’re responsible for developing and creating new products as well as caring for the existing product offering within our Down the Hole line – bringing your valuable knowledge and expertise into our different projects and activities. As part of the job, you use problem solving and troubleshooting activities to find proper solutions. You also support production and sales companies in technical matters.
You’re based at our site in Tampere, Finland, and you have a hybrid setup where you can combine office and remote work.
Your profile
We’re looking for someone that is willing to take an idea through all the steps in product development, both theoretical and practical – from modelling, simulation, measuring, drilling, and analyzing. A strong background within product development, together with materials and manufacturing knowledge, is a plus. You should have solid skills in using CAD and FEM as they are part of your daily work. Your knowledge is grounded by a master's in engineering, preferably within Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. As we are a global business, you need excellent skills in English, and we consider at least basic knowledge in Finnish as mandatory.
