About the job

In this role, you will be part of the grade team working with substrates, coatings, edge preparation and post treatment methods. You have close contact with the rest of your team and with drilling and holemaking team as well as collaborate with the coating department, the product development engineers, product line, application engineers, production technology, production, and your other internal stakeholders. You’re using SEM, XRD and LOM regularly, doing measurements and/or interpretation of results.

This position is in Ciechanow (Poland), and your team is spread out globally, thus the job includes some planned travel.

About you

You hold a master's or PhD degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry or adjacent combined with pre/post treatment or coating knowledge, preferentially hard coatings. You have held previous R&D positions and have a background in Materials Science, preferably in metallurgy. You have a good understanding of the Magnetron Sputtering technology and are familiar with characterization techniques such as SEM, XRD, and LOM, while knowledge of Arc Evaporation and cemented carbide are beneficial. Knowledge of cutting technology is advantageous. As we work across borders and cultures, you need to be inclusive and communicate fluently in English, even though Polish is required.
