We are searching for a dynamic and experienced Control System Software Test Engineer to join our dedicated software testing team. In this role, you will play a part in testing our Control System platform. Your expertise will contribute to manual and automated testing. The position is in Sandvik’s Turku site which is the cutting-edge product development and manufacturing center for our Load and Haul equipment. Our mission is to advance the world through engineering. Do you share our mission?

About the team:

You work as a SW Test Engineer in Software Testing team which is a part of R&D and Product Development organization. You are a key player in a cross-functional SW platform collaboration. You will work closely together with the System Engineering and SW development teams, as well as other internal R&D and Product line stakeholders. We are a collaborative and diverse group committed to pushing the boundaries of technology in the mining sector.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing manual testing of issues and SW release verification in simulator environment
  • Planning and developing test automation for SW platform
  • Running and maintaining automated test cases
  • Test plan management
  • Communicating with various key stakeholder
  • Communicating with other product teams to align testing and test automation development
  • Simulator environment development and maintenance
  • Participating product test planning with other team members

Your background and what we find important

  • Demonstrate a proactive and systematic work approach, complemented by excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excels as a collaborative team player in diverse, international work settings
  • Possesses a degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) in engineering or from a relevant field
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Finnish is appreciated
  • Experience in test automation frameworks (preferably Robot Framework)
  • Experience in other testing technologies and tools
  • Test case management and issue testing
  • A curious mind and will to face challenges. You’re not afraid to experiment and fail, and always want to improve yourself!
  • Great communication and documentation skills
