About the Opportunity
In this position, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Sandvik’s key quality accreditation. You will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and ongoing improvement of Sandvik’s Quality Management System, while overseeing both internal and external audits across our Heatherbrae and Mackay facilities. A core focus of the role is to safeguard compliance with service technician competency requirements, ensuring that our standards meet both legislative and company expectations. This is a critical role in supporting operational excellence, driving continuous improvement, and upholding Sandvik’s reputation for quality and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and quality standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Sandvik’s Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015) and compliance with AS/NZS 3584.3 and AS/NZS 3800.
- Create and update quality policies and procedures to support safe and compliant operations.
- Build strong relationships with managers, employees, regulators, and industry representatives.
- Review and interpret legislative and company requirements to maintain compliance.
- Monitor the Quality Management System, address non-conformances, and drive continuous improvement.
About you
You are a qualified mechanical tradesperson with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and deliver reliable results. You’re confident using digital tools, including Microsoft Office 365. You have experience with Root Cause Analysis and hold an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification. You’re familiar with Ex FLP legislation and standards. You’re flexible, adaptable, and quick to adjust to operational changes.
