About the opportunity:
As the Project Manager, you will oversee customer projects and new product development from inception to completion. You’ll hold responsibilities including planning, executing, and controlling projects to ensure they meet defined scope, quality, budget, and schedule requirements. This position requires extensive cross-functional collaboration and strong leadership to ensure successful, timely delivery of projects that align with strategic business objectives
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation. Ensure projects are executed according to plan, meeting all quality, budget, and schedule requirements.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Provide clear direction, support, and guidance to team members.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, to ensure project alignment with business objectives and customer needs. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across functions and divisions.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance project management processes and practices within the organization. Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring proactive measures are in place to address potential issues. Develop contingency plans to manage unforeseen challenges.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, status updates, and project deliverables. Ensure timely and transparent communication of project status to stakeholders.
About you
You are an experienced project management professional with a strong academic foundation, holding a degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline. You have a proven track record of successfully delivering customer projects on a global scale, ideally within the mining industry, and you thrive in dynamic, multicultural environments.
Your expertise includes project management methodologies and tools such as MS Project and MS Office, and you’re quick to adapt to new technologies and processes. You bring strong change management capabilities, with the ability to lead and implement digital transformation initiatives.
You’re comfortable working on-site at Eagle Farm and traveling to client mine sites for up to 25% of your time. Your technical knowledge includes an intermediate understanding of mobile machinery and vehicle systems—such as steering, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical components—combined with strong computer literacy. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enable you to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, and proficiency in multiple languages is highly valued.
