We are seeking a Product Support Supervisor for the Simandou Project to oversee the service and maintenance of Sandvik fleets, as well as the Parts and Tools Store. The ideal candidate will drive cost efficiency and capital profitability through effective leadership, strong customer relationships, and the implementation of best‑practice Safety, Health, and Environment standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing OEM product support to customers through the establishment of effective management systems.
  • Installing, commissioning, and supporting Sandvik equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Managing cost budgets efficiently by initiating cost‑reduction measures while maintaining quality standards and ensuring environmentally safe and healthy practices.
  • Developing and administering effective maintenance practices that will ensure fleet availability and reliability per contract terms.
  • Taking full responsibility for Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) performance and management.
  • Managing all customer and stakeholder relationships to ensure satisfaction and long-term collaboration.
  • Ensuring continuous improvement initiatives to promote Sandvik's business image and related product and service offerings.
  • Ensuring the personal and career development of subordinates.
  • Adhering to all Sandvik policies and procedures, especially the SHEQ policies.

Qualification & Competencies

  • Degree Qualified Engineer or good trade background with relevant equipment technical and managerial experience.
  • Qualification in Project Management would be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in maintaining Surface products, ability to manage parts stores, and overseeing all technical maintenance scope of work aimed at delivering best-practice maintenance service support.
  • Extensive Mechanical/Electrical Engineering knowledge. Strong business sense and EHS focus.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and people management skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets and other MS Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel and work in remote locations for extended periods is essential.
  • Proficiency in Maintenance Management practices.
  • Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary and guide members of the team.
  • Adhering to all Sandvik policies and procedures, with strict compliance to SHEQ policies.
