Business Development - Segment Manager Lead

Main activities

  • Increased segment market share (revenue growth)
  • Aligned and connected product, service and solution development to segment needs. (enabling – better NSR)
  • New customer development within segment
  • Operational activities
  • Communication on technical (WTC) solutions and innovations to key internal and external stakeholders – sharing the success and developing opportunities to identified targets.
  • Identifying Segment needs for products, services and solutions needs to key stakeholders in POI / BD / Partnerships.
  • Supporting key segment products / projects / innovations (e.g. taking indexable broaching to market (customer/partner mapping, knowledge sharing, sales/BD and customer/partner support) or (large must win projects eg Femoral in Zimmer)
  • Developing internal and external networks for collaboration, knowledge sharing and opportunities.
  • Support strategic business plans for key strategic customers within the region.
  • BI – research and identify new and existing manufactures to target aligned to our strengths and focus areas.
  • Segment forecasting

Experience

  • Bachelor or Master with at least 5 years of experience in a technical field of expertise; MBA is a preferred competence
  • Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Development
  • English native speaker or English B2 min + Foreign native language fluency
  • 5 + years of experience in industrial sales, preferably in metal cutting or manufacturing services.
  • Relevant experience in CAD/CAM programming and process development
  • Strong technical knowledge of machining processes, tooling applications, and customer manufacturing environments. (GD&T plus product knowledge will be an advantage)
  • Experience with value-based or consultative selling.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and MS Office tools.

Expectations:

  • Excellent analytical, oral and written communication, organizational and presentational skills to all levels of staff
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software including manufacturing process simulation.
  • Experience in machine tool programming for 3 & 5 axis type machines.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work in multi-functional teams with partner and supplier organizations and to manage delivery..
  • Willingness to travel within assigned territory

  • Presentation and report writing skills Yellow Belt Lean 6 Sigma or related qualification - optional
  • Valid passport
