Job Description

Sandvik Coromant is looking for a well-balanced team to work in various locations throughout the Americas, to complement each other in all aspects of business, all while having the eagerness to share ideas, cooperate and coordinate with one another to support sales growth and knowledge transfer while supporting our sales team, our business partners, and our end user customers!

With the ultimate goal of securing a presence in key markets, you will mainly travel within US and Canada to support opportunities, pipelines, trainings, etc, but you may need to travel outside your area of responsibility to support the larger sales area as well as potential international travel to our Sandvik Coromant customers and sites.

Team Purpose and Responsibilities
Your main purpose as a team is to improve sales and the overall business growth. Furthermore, aligning the Product Area Strategy with Sales Execution, enabling thru support closure of prioritized opportunities while securing competences in Sales surrounding the Product Area

Offer.

Within the team, your responsibilities are to:

  • Provide product and application solution support at the highest level on customer projects supporting our business partners and sales personnel.
  • Collaborate with sales personnel in converting prioritized sales pipelines into orders by assessing business opportunity and providing industry leading solutions.
  • Co-develop and execute tactics for local business plan together with sales clusters.
  • Proactively train sales personnel, business partners and provide technical expertise to customers to ensure sales efficiency.
  • Ensure high quality opportunity management by being active in both qualifying and execution of growth opportunities.
  • Lead replicate success for the product offering (transfer success cases, share best practices).
  • Analyze sales performance within area of responsibility, align with RSM and Cluster Manager for development plan.
  • Conduct high quality field tests and market preparation tests for new product development projects.
  • Support and drive all Coropak activities including knowledge transfer, presentations, sales pipeline development, sales tactics, etc.
  • Support prioritized customer events.
  • Assist market research programs and competitor investigations.

What we need from you and your teammates
Together with your colleagues, you complement each other by possessing different qualities and capabilities, which means that you don’t necessarily need to check all the boxes to be successful in this role. With this in mind, we are looking for:

  • Individuals with strong product and application knowledge within the turning area.
  • Individuals being in the forefront of modern machining techniques, methods and software with a requirement of competency in programming (Master Cam or similar).
  • Individuals with backgrounds and experience from working with different customer types (mass, batch, advanced) and in different industries (Aero, Auto, Space, Oil & Gas or Small Part Machining).
  • Individual with skilled problem-solving capabilities, outside the box thinking and high performing under pressure while customer facing.
  • Corporate language is English, in the team also Portuguese, Spanish and French language skills are a benefit.

As a professional you have excellent product and application knowledge, are skilled in developing machining strategies and have a business mindset. You are an effective communicator with marketing savviness, premier problem-solving skills as well as an ability to be creative and flexible, while maintaining focus on mutual success between Sandvik Coromant and our client. This will be achieved by exercising proven time and opportunity management skills.
