Learning Specialist

We are looking for a Learning Specialist for Business Unit (BU) Automation. BU Automation’s home is in Tampere; Finland, and we work closely together with our Sandvik Mining (SM) sales areas to serve our customers. Automation BU is developing fully automated and robotic mining technologies for mobile machinery, including machine vision, machine learning and artificial intelligence with an aim to revolutionize the underground and surface mining industry.
About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and development-oriented Learning Specialist to join a dynamic and international work environment. This role requires the ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, work independently, and communicate & collaborate with internal and external parties. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing automation learning solutions across all our digital learning platforms, tools and processes for both internal and external stakeholders.
In this role you will report to the Head of Learning Solutions, Automation. The role is permanent, full time and will be based in Tampere, Tulli Business Park, Finland. Although we work in a hybrid setup, the office remains the priority workplace. During training delivery weeks, your presence at the office is essential.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Organize classroom and virtual training sessions; manage travel arrangements, accommodation, catering, transportation, and event-related services.
- Manage training practicalities, invitations, calendar bookings, course offering, training calendars, and course communication
- Support training weeks on-site.
- Communicate effectively with trainers, presenters, participants, and line managers.
- Manage training material process; create, update, and review training materials with internal stakeholders in alignment with product releases timelines.
- Support trainers in training delivery practicalities, materials & tools
- Provide LMS platform support for customers and local admins; create and manage user accounts, maintain and update courses and learning paths in LMS, monitor platform changes and communicate updates to users, and track learner enrolment statuses.
- Produce reports on training statistics (classroom, virtual, eLearning), using Power BI for reporting and insights.
- Communicate and collaborate with Learning Team, other stakeholders within Automation and in Sandvik's other divisions.
We are looking for

- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
- High attention to detail, especially in documentation, and in training week arrangements.
- Proficiency with digital learning platforms and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Analytical mindset with experience in data reporting, dashboards, and preferably Power BI.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across teams.
- Genuine interest & experience in different learning methods, technologies and tools.
- Strong business acumen and understanding to link the business and the people agenda.
- Fluency in English & Finnish.
