Spare Parts Specialist

The Underground Drilling division is currently seeking a Spare Parts Specialist to join our Parts Support Team in Tampere, Finland. In this permanent role you will play a key part in supporting our customers and contributing directly to their success.

The Underground Drilling division within Business area Mining is an industry leading global provider of drilling equipment for underground mining and tunneling industry with focus on technology development and future innovative solutions to enable sustainable operations for our customers. Sandvik Mining and Construction Oys Tampere site is a global technology and manufacturing center for Underground Drilling equipment.

Your Mission

As Spare Part Specialist your main priority is to ensure efficient and reliable aftermarket support for our global operations. You will work in close collaboration with other functions and teams, such as Engineering, Product Support, Sourcing and Logistics. Success in this role requires proactive communication and collaboration with key stakeholders and the ability to deliver timely and effective solutions to our frontline teams and customers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support to Sales Areas by assisting with spare part identification, creation of new parts, and exploration of alternative solutions to meet customer and operational needs.
  • Coordinate identified needs with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Participate in product development projects to ensure comprehensive spare part readiness.
  • Prepare and deliver spare part recommendations to support product lifecycle needs.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of tools, systems and processes.

Your Background and Profile

We are seeking a customer-oriented problem solver with a passion for working in a dynamic, global business environment. You hold a relevant academic degree (BSc or MSc) in Engineering. You have understanding and preferably previous experience in the aftermarket business within the equipment manufacturing industry.

You demonstrate a keen interest in emerging technologies and digital tools, and you are comfortable navigating various systems and applications. You proactively contribute to development initiatives and process improvements. Fluency in English is essential for effective communication in our international setting, while proficiency in Finnish is considered a significant asset. Experience with platforms such as Teamcenter, Salesforce, and SAP is considered a strong advantage.
