Sandvik Mining & Rock Solutions (SMR) is a leading supplier in equipment and tools, services and technical solutions for the mining and construction industries. Our application areas include rock drilling, rock cutting, crushing & screening, loading, & hauling, tunnelling, quarrying, and breaking & demolition. To our Rock Tools division and to our production plant at Pune, we are now looking for a Manager – Planning to join us

Your Scope:

This function delivers high value to the stakeholders by being a close operational confidant who is highly system driven, sets high standards in terms of support and cooperation and is focused towards achieving best results for PU and best services to customers.

To be more specific, your main responsibilities to handle in this position are:

Member of all site EHS committees- role holder will act as link for the safety committee shop floor meetings, take notes, action and report back to the shop floor.
Responsible for production planning
Weekly OTD tracking (plan Vs actual)
Preparation of weekly production plan, discussion with team and finalizing production plan,
Hands on experience on SAP S4 HANA, Planning module.
Ensure availability of all required raw material & direct consumables as per plan.
Ensure timely communications to all internal and external customers on planned volumes, production trends periodically.
Monitoring of order desk function and communication to all global contact points (planning and control function & segments).
Work on quarterly forecast – volume & inventory, upload rolling forecast in SAP
MIS reporting to management as per set periodic frequencies
Responsible for budget Product cost (PK) calculation for all items.
Responsible for planning raw material for all production lines in advance
Responsible for monthly VBPLS index & KPI reporting
New items Data Enrichment of Planning views in SAP
Responsible for all direct material purchases.
Ensure Delivery security for all materials supply as per target.
Responsible for on time deliveries of finished products to domestic & global customers
The job requires complete knowledge about the production lines & close working with peers.
Responsible for vendor scheduling as per production plan & priorities for getting semi-finished blanks for production & deliveries.
Monitoring of stores and statutory inventory audits.
Responsible for periodic perpetual inventory counts & reporting to business management.
Responsible for raw material & consumable stores management.
Shall own required material issuance (raw materials & consumables) method & routines to production as per their requirements & cost reduction in those areas by implementing scientific methods
Ensure timely availability of consumables & other material necessary as per production plan & also maintain Stock variance, total physical stock and system stock matching.
Responsible for implementation of LEAN concepts like KANBAN, FIFO in stores (raw materials & consumables).

Your profile

An Engineering graduate with minimum 12 years of experience in supply chain engineering industry. Direct working experience in production planning, inventory management and supply chain planning.
In-depth knowledge of key concepts & theories related to forecasting, inventory management & supply chain management.
Hands on Computer Skills in MS Office
Should have good written and oral communicational skills in Marathi (Local Language) English and Hindi.

Required Competencies:

Ability to work in teams as initiator.
Hands on experience on SAP S4 HANA, Planning module
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to make analytical decisions.
Able to read & interpret management reports.
Able to work with all levels of management.
Strong business systems development skills.
