Inspection and Testing Supervisor

We work in close co-operation with the sales areas within the Sandvik Mining Business Area, to provide the best possible service for our customers. Load & Haul home based in Turku, Finland. Additionally, we have operations in Camarillo, USA | Changzhou, China | Khomanani, South Africa as well in Seremban, Malaysia.

Job Scope

  • Collect requirements for the tests, make test plans, execute tests with the help of the front-line organization, report findings to key stakeholders.
  • Do corrective actions and adjustments during the tests, if needed.
  • Actively communicate between the functions and the factory organizations.
  • Keep test & inspection portfolio follow-up excel up to date.
  • Develop testing methods and reports.
  • Supervise and reporting on testing & inspection workflow and its productivity
  • Ensure work logs are maintained and updated regularly
  • Responsible for adequate resources, ensuring material availability, scheduling, and efficiency of testing & inspection operation
  • Maintain a list of preferred test & inspection locations and contacts.
  • Participate in product support duties and assist with problem solving etc., if needed.
  • Compliance with instructions and organizational practices at work.
  • Taking quality requirements into account at work.
  • Taking care of occupational safety and general cleanliness.
  • Ensure Sandvik Way of Working procedures are in place and always adhered to
  • Participate in implementation and understand SAP module

Experience

  • At least 5 to 8 years of experience in heavy machinery assembly / manufacturing testing & inspection environment
  • Previous experience in managing production line / quality will be value added
  • Advanced quality knowledge, production testing, inspection planning and scheduling are required to succeed in the role.
  • Previous hands-on experience on SAP – at least key user
  • Familiar with MS office application and other production management platforms
  • Previous experience in Lean Six Sigma, ISO 9001 requirement is seen as an advantage
  • Battery technology background considered an advantage

Qualification

  • Demonstrated strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Your way of working is analytical and structured, and you can prioritize
  • A systematic, solution orientated mindset, the ability to establish and implement development plans are essential to be successful in the job
  • You are active and responsible person
  • Fluent English skill is essential & required
  • Has user level experience with ERP system and MS office applications is required
  • As a person, you take initiative and have a desire to learn new things
  • Readiness to work in shifts

Education

  • Suitable degree in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering is required
  • Certificate related to quality, testing and inspection would be added value
