Sandvik Coromant in Westminster, SC is looking for a

MACHINE OPERATOR (Equipment Operator II)

SUMMARY:

The purpose of the Equipment Operator II position is to set up and operate Bulldog, ER, and ELB equipment while ensuring all processes meet blueprint specifications. This includes performing required quality checks using process‑specific measuring devices to verify compliance and maintain production accuracy.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Select and prioritize jobs using the GSSII Control System or as directed by leadership.
Set up equipment by following work instructions, blueprints, and specifications, including developing and adjusting basic CNC programs.
Adjust machine parameters as trained, including performing required robot calibrations.
Verify process capability using SPC or other control methods, utilizing processes specific measurement tools such as the PER, RollER. Comparators, and Hawk Vision System.
Confirm that all products meet required visual (ocular) inspection standards.
Monitor operations to ensure the process meets established efficiency and utilization targets.
Take initiative to continually improve processes with support from peers, supervisors, and engineers.
Perform routine equipment and tooling maintenance, including evaluating and maintaining tooling needs.
Support peer development by actively participating in skill‑building activities and assisting in training less experienced operators on equipment and related systems.
Foster a positive team environment by promoting teamwork, communication, and fair play within the workgroup and across processes.
Understand and properly utilize the AGV robotic transport system as required.
Maintain a clean, orderly work area and complete all assigned daily housekeeping tasks.

Ensure compliance with the ISO standards, including ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety).
Adhere to all company rules and safety policies.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or equivalent GED
2-3 years’ experience working in a mechanical or manufacturing industry preferred.
May perform other tasks as required.

SHIFT:

This position is for 2nd shift

PAY CLASSIFICATION:

W2 ($17.00 - $27.85)
