Operations Manager, Load & Haul division
Ready to join the Sandvik team and put your production expertise to the test? We are looking for a Operations Manager for our Turku Supply!
Your role
As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the Production, Purchasing, Production planning, EHS, and Quality for both equipment and batteries at the Turku Supply. You ensure that customer orders are delivered on time and at the agreed quality level.
The position is full-time, permanent and located at Sandvik’s Turku site which is the main product development and manufacturing center for our Load and Haul division.
Your primary areas of responsibility
Responsible for developing leadership capabilities within the supply organization and for fostering the growth and development of the team.
Manage the preparation and execution of production plans, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Manage and develop factory capacity to meet current and future production demands.
Lead the management and development of factory resources, optimizing workforce and material utilization.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the factory, focusing on efficiency, quality, lead time, on-time delivery (OTD), net working capital (NWC), and cost control.
Oversee net working capital management, including raw material inventory and work-in-progress (WIP).
Support the development of EHS practices
Manage and enhance overall factory performance, identifying and implementing best practices.
Lead the management and development of key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve operational effectiveness.
Collaborate closely with a diverse group of stakeholders, including production units within Load & Haul (Chanqzhou, Seremban, Camarillo), local and global Sourcing teams, Sales and Marketing, Product Offering
Ensure that all local and global guidelines in the areas of EHS, Finance, and HR are understood and consistently followed, fostering a culture of compliance and respect for diverse practices and perspectives.

Solid understanding of production management and principles.
Familiarity with production development methods (such as Lean, Six Sigma).
Solid understanding of the FOD process.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build professional relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
Flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with reporting tools is a plus.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a engineering.
Proficiency in written and spoken English and Finnish.
