Travel: 20% up to 50% to GWS facilities
Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced, skilled CNC Tool and Cutter Grinder who is proficient in using different grinding software platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating master CNC grinding programs and investigating automation techniques and ways to optimize the manufacturing for grinding CNC machines to produce high-quality cutting tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Proficient with programming Anca, Numroto platforms, and is willing to learn other programming grinding platforms and help set up CNC machines to produce high-quality tools and parts.
Analyze and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure the accurate production of parts.
Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure that all parts are manufactured to the required specifications and quality standards.
Standardize grinding programs, structure wheel packs, and write setup procedures to ensure optimal operator practices and resources.
Continuously monitor and review/adjust machine settings to optimize production efficiency and quality.
Troubleshoot programing issues and setup issues that may arise during production.
Implementing a centralized database system for master CNC grinding programs.
Planning factory machine layouts to optimize production.
Managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
Work closely with the engineering design team and shop floor management to develop and improve production processes, and support sites with programming log queus and orders priorities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in CNC grinding programming or related field is preferred.
5+ years of experience in CNC tool and grinder programming.
Must be proficient in using Anca, Numroto, and be open to learning other platforms
Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes and programming languages.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and other environmental factors.
