The role

We are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager – Rock Tools to lead our Contract Operations team in Western Australia. In this role, you will oversee contract management, financial targets, KPIs, and customer relationships, ensuring high service levels that showcase the value of Sandvik’s products and services. Safety, efficiency, and collaboration with key business units will be central to your success.

This is a full-time position, but Sandvik values flexible working arrangements, including remote work options and flexible start/finish times.

Please note: this role will require travel to customer mine sites and occasional interstate / international travel.

Areas of responsibility

  • Lead the Contract Operations team to ensure effective contract management and controls.

  • Oversee all purchasing processes within Contract Operations, ensuring compliance with Sandvik’s Procurement Policy & Standards.

  • Support Rock Tools Business Improvement by analyzing and enhancing contract management and administration processes.

  • Collaborate with Business Improvement Manager, Sales Support & Development, EHS Manager, and Sales Manager on contract tenders and implementation.

  • Work closely with the Rock Tools Product & Applications team to ensure optimal product selection, technical support, product trials, training, and warranty management.

  • Partner with the Rock Tools EHS Manager to drive EHS initiatives, training, and customer-specific compliance requirements.

  • Represent the company in customer review meetings, delivering presentations and insights as needed.

Your profile

  • Strong knowledge of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations.

  • Experience in contract management, continuous improvement, or customer relationship management.

  • Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders to drive results.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a creative approach to challenges.

  • A strong communicator and strategic planner with excellent business analysis skills.

  • High attention to detail with a strong understanding of end-to-end business processes.

  • Experience in the mining, construction, or engineering industries is highly desirable.

  • Previous leadership experience managing high-performing teams is advantageous.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power BI is desirable.
