CNC Lathe Operator – 2nd Shift

We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented CNC Lathe Operator to join our team!

Key performance areas

Responsible for the setting up and operation of CNC Lathe equipment to ensure the manufacturing of high-quality parts and tools.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC Lathe equipment to perform machining to meet key performance indicators.
  • Performing in-process inspection to produce product in compliance within production guidelines to ensure safety, quality, health, and environmental procedures are followed.
  • Level “A” create CNC programs as required.
  • Must make adjustments to CNC programs and set-ups as required, document, and report all adjustments/corrections.
  • Aid in the selection of tooling, jaw requirements and fixtures.
  • Responsible for operating multiple production machines.
  • Using manufacturing reporting systems.

Competencies

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints and process plans.
  • Must be fluent in G & M code, and downstream process for ease of manufacturing.
  • Must demonstrate good eye-hand coordination and agility.
  • Being self-directed and working in team environments is expected.

Please note the following physical requirements for this role:

Frequent Physical Requirements:

Lifting up to 50 pounds, standing

Repetitive Motion Physical Requirements:

Typing, eye/hand/foot coordination

Frequent Physical Requirements:

Carrying objects, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, walking

Occasional Physical Requirements:

Sitting, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, kneeling, reaching, handling

Profile

You possess minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Diploma from a Technical College or Trade School preferred. Minimum of 2 years of CNC Lathe experience. Experience with machining and cutting operations required. Knowledge of 5S and lean manufacturing preferred. Global travel may be required. Schedule will vary according to department needs; overtime work may be requested.
