SMRT has an exciting opportunity within the Parts & Services Division for a passionate, self-driven and dynamic professional to work within our Business Unit; Upgrades & Engineered Solutions. We are looking for an individual who takes ownership on actions and has a strong focus on aftermarket. The Upgrades Manager will report to Business Unit Manager, Upgrades & Engineered Solutions. The position is permanent and will be based in Alachua, USA.
As the Upgrades Manager you are responsible to coordinate activities in Alachua to develop, analyze, offer and supply Upgrades Kit Solutions for Pedestal Rotary Surface Drills manufactured at the Sandvik Alachua facilities. You are accountable to identify and implement initiatives, processes and commercial offerings to maintain and develop market position and achieve significant financial growth. You will work closely with the equipment Production Unit to coordinate activities to deliver quality Upgrade Kits on time and to specification. You will support and interact with Sandvik regional Sales Areas to proactively propose and develop our Upgrades Kits offering to meet and exceed end customer expectations.
Your skills and qualifications
You have a university degree in engineering or equivalent technical studies. Your experience in heavy machinery and/or the mining and construction business will be highly valued. Well-developed stakeholder management and communication experience are key criteria of the role. You have demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to motivate, persuade and negotiate. You demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity. You actively develop your business network and you are eager to learn and have a passion to work within a team. You demonstrate a high service attitude in a demanding environment and can manage varying customer requirements. You understand priorities and manage your own daily work in a balanced way. You are fluent in English.
