Automation Specialist Level 3

SENIOR SUPPORT ENGINEER

RANCAGUA – CHILE (or where needed within Chile)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, we expect you to perform duties with high degree of independence, initiative and judgment. This role distinguished from typical engineer positions, you will be responsible for managing uniquely tailored systems to customer needs and coordinating the activities of various departments including the automation factory, sales area and external interfaces to manage and deliver highly technical support to our projects and service contracts.

What profile we are looking for?
Beside the default engineering skill set, this job will require experience engineer who is specialized in automation and other related systems. You will need to have deep understanding on the key sub systems of the AutoMine® platform to be able to provide unique support to the client and peers for the service and project contracts.

MAIN JOB REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

Mechanical/Electrical/Automation Engineer

Over 5 years’ experience

-Understand and can demonstrate machine operation in field.

-Understand the the AutoMine® family and its subsystems.

-Troubleshooting of the Automine system onboard, infrastructure

-Ability to use hand tools and testing equipment

-Proficiency in windows environments such as, 2019 server, Sql, VCenter, Linux systems

-Ability to understand Sandvik prints of hydraulic and electrical systems

-Basic understanding of the principles of network 802.11 protocol and functions

-D license (not required but nice to have)

-Has safety concepts and understanding of Automine safety system

-Ability to follow system protocols.

-Ability to travel to the site on demand, this will be needed once there is a critical issue on-site that requires your involvement

-Ability to provide remote support to the site(s) over the phone and over VPN connection to the system in case of full system stop or related issues

-Flexible time will be required, with the approval of your direct manager you should be able to work on flexible hours

Fluency in English skill will be a plus

Strong communication skills

LICENCES & CERTIFICATES

 Class B Drive License (Chilean legislation

or equivalent).

LOCATION: Rancagua (or where needed within Chile)
