To strengthen our sales organization within Sandvik Additive Manufacturing (AM), and especially when it comes to our powder business, we’re now looking for a driven and inspiring Lead Regional Sales Manager for JAPAC. In this position, you have the overall responsibility of directing the future sales strategy for your region – meaning you plan, direct, monitor and drive a competitive and ambitious sales plan; covering performance, business development, customer relations and growth opportunities. You continually develop our sales tactics and you pave the way for success and influence delivery of results. Leading our sales team for JAPAC, you bring a coaching and supportive culture, and you set the direction of an opportunity-oriented sales force by clearly communicating and following up on targets and actions.
Important parts of your job include:
- Establishing strategies and action plans for key account management and customer satisfaction, driving profitable growth with existing customers as well as identifying new business opportunities
- Determining our offer and gather market intelligence to develop market share and competitiveness
- People and performance management, and making sure we have the right tools and support to achieve our KPIs
- Operating across, and effectively managing, the different business cultures in the region
- Proactively collaborate with all divisions and other Sandvik units, and acting as an ambassador for our core values
You report to the Head of Global Sales for AM and your location is flexible within the sales region, although preferably, you’re based in Shanghai, China. Travel is required.
You have a degree in Business Administration or Engineering, along with broad experience from technical or industrial sales and knowledge of sales and marketing management. Your career includes a proven track record from a leading business role in a global and complex setting, and we highly value any experience within Additive Manufacturing. Previously working with customer management is a necessity, and you’re known for seizing opportunities and making businesses grow. You’re also skilled in people and change management. We act in a global context, which calls for fluency in English, and we consider knowledge of other languages used in the region as beneficial.

A commercial mindset, combined with your energy and experience, makes you very successful at your job. You’re also open-minded, adaptable and know how to effectively operate in a setting where different cultures and ways of doing business is an everyday challenge. With excellent communication skills, you present our strategic sales agenda to both management and to your team, and you encourage the people around you with a coaching and influential leadership style.
