We are now looking for a Marketing Manager for Sales Area South and East Asia who wants to ensure successful marketing solutions for today, with the needs of tomorrow in mind.

Key performance areas
In this position, you are a member of the Sandvik Coromant global marketing team and accountable for the strategic direction for global marketing and brand positioning, as well as for establishing and reaching the objectives of your Sales Area. You adopt appropriate marketing channels and efficient methods to support sales, promote our growth strategy and ensure our brand position. Being responsible for leading and executing a balanced and efficient mix of marketing, marketing communication, internal and external communication and brand activities you ensure successful and efficient launch of our offer; and you always make sure to measure and follow up the outcome of these plans and activities. You are also responsible for PR and media relations and for the Sandvik Coromant Centers, securing maximum utilization.

Furthermore, in good cooperation with other Sales Areas and the global marketing team, you manage and develop a team of marketing professionals, and you ensure transformation of sales and marketing needs into marketing strategies and sales support.

Your responsibilities also include:

  • Ensuring that all planned and anchored marketing activities are implemented in the markets.
  • Ensuring that global corporate strategy and change communication is secured and executed properly, as well as that local information and communication is clearly understood by all employees in the Sales area.
  • Taking full budget and planning responsibility for the Sandvik Coromant Centers, all to be well coordinated with other stakeholders within the organization
  • Executing and evaluating marketing campaigns, customer and internal events, trade shows and customer visits to our facilities.
  • Communicating marketing and communication needs within sales to the global marketing organization.
  • Take responsibility for the usage of global online marketing and make sure that it is synchronized with global online sales.

You are a member of the Sales Area management team, and report directly to the Head of Field Marketing. The location for this position is flexible within the Sales Area and frequent global travel is an essential part of your job.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in Marketing, Business or Sales, or equivalent experience gained from work. Solid experience from a leading position where you have managed teams in a global setting is a must in this job, and you are well acquainted with a matrix structure as well as the Sandvik Group set-up. You have exceptional sales and business understanding and are highly skilled in strategic planning and tactical execution. We expect you to have a good track record of delivering results and managing change. To be successful in this role, you need good knowledge of, and solid interest in, the trends and developments of technology for digital marketing and communication. As we act in a global context, you must be fluent in English, both in writing and speaking, and skills in any other languages within the regional Sales Area are advantageous.

You have strong integrity and ability to lead others and are genuinely interested in managing, leading and motivating teams and individuals, and you easily create trust. You are an excellent networker with good understanding of stakeholder needs and have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and outside partners at all levels of the organizations. With a cross-border and functional approach, you focus on the results, are structured and exceptionally good at planning and are able to act on both short-term and long-term objectives, as you look at your mission from both a strategic and a holistic perspective.
