SMR IT, Delivery Sales & Marketing is a group of global experts working closely together with Sandvik Business Areas in their Sales & Marketing programs and related IT solutions. Our services are e.g. Salesforce and ecommerce platforms, which are widely used globally.
The position is permanent, full-time and located in Tampere (Finland) or in Sandviken (Sweden). You report to the IT Delivery Manager for Sales and Marketing within Business Area Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions IT.
Solution Architect is accountable for creating, sustaining, improving and leading solution design for Sales and Marketing related services. This role will ensure that the solution design produced is fit for purpose and appropriate for the business requirements and aligned to original business objectives and SMR architectural strategies, principles and guidelines.
About your role
Translate business strategy and requirements to IT solutions.
Build a strong understanding of the processes, business strategy, key stakeholders, technology and target architecture.
Engage closely with the E2E solution architects, business process owners and IT application architects.
Make recommendations to Process Owners to achieve process improvements based on the overall technical vision of the SMR IT landscape.
Support the business and E2E solution architects in understanding proposed solutions or solution options are fit for purpose.
Support the business in understanding effort required and provide a high-level investment/cost range required for the solution.
Support in establishing delivery roadmaps based on business strategy and transition plans (aligned with E2E solution architects)
Support forward looking technology innovation/improvement in delivery roadmaps.
Help delivery managers understand competences, solutions, resourcing, investments needed to deliver on capability area and platform strategy.
Represent the Sales & Marketing Delivery in projects and governance forums by driving and coordinating the detailed design and development of the agreed solution.
Deliver solution outlines for your capability areas that are clearly documented
Support the E2E solution architect in ensuring the Capability and Solution Map for your capability areas is documented and kept updated.
Support activities required to procure technologies (where required) and liaise with vendors and SMR IT.
Your background and what we find important
You have hands on experience on designing and building solutions and solution outlines.
You have extensive knowledge on Sales & Marketing area services and solutions.
You are good at building relationships and a strong communicator accustomed to communicating with stakeholders across the organization.
You understand business processes within lead to cash area which brings the advantage to be able to propose the right solutions.
With a delivery focused mindset you can challenge traditional ways of working and find optimal solutions in a positive way.
You are good at illustrating different architectural views and outlines for IT solutions in a clear way.
While technical knowhow is a must, to succeed you have also had exposure to business. Preferably you have background in the consulting business.
You are self-directed, organized, proactive, and poses good teamworking skills. To thrive in this position, you have an analytical approach and can communicate your thoughts to stakeholders coming from different domains. You are eager to learn new things as well as mentor others in your domain of excellence. Being perceptive and sympathetic, you easily create a trusting environment for collaboration. You’re also a passionate networker, using your excellent collaboration skills to interact and build valuable and open relationships. You speak and write fluent English and can author material related to your domain and stakeholder groups.
