Business Growth and Development

  • Proactively giving HR advice to line managers and the management team as required.
  • Support managers in the process of engaging employees around vision, strategy, objectives and values to ensure that all employees are clear on their contribution to the overall business objectives
  • Provide managers with effective techniques for attracting, retaining and developing the right people for Sandvik for today and future needs
  • Continuously improve the HR work by reviewing and following-up on set objectives and by evaluating the HR services delivered by HRAs, HR shared Services and other third-party providers
  • Continually look for and introduce improvements to the service process efficiency of the business while maintaining relevant standards.

Operations/Processes

  • Modify and update all HR policies and procedures in collaboration with HR Shared Services in the country
  • Manage industrial relations matters, agreements and conditions of employment as well as all trade union negotiations where applicable.
  • Conduct, coordinating and supporting the recruitment and onboarding process together with HR Shared Services
  • Determining suitable salaries and remuneration aligned with global Compensation and Benefits
  • Developing adequate induction and training
  • Managing succession planning of staff
  • Assisting with the performance management and review process
  • Assisting with the Talent process
  • Proactively initiate change and support managers in other change initiatives
  • Ensure that Sandvik is working in compliance with policies, country specific legislation, and local agreements in the HR area
  • Assist in developing competence in the region and support the managers in their responsibilities
  • Support corporate reporting and coordinate activities aligned with timely execution of reporting where required

People Management and Development

  • Train others in how to use the provided tools and ensures that the managers accept and use them in a qualitative way
  • Facilitate Corporate Induction Programs
  • Promote a high focus on competence development including leadership and technical training.
  • Recruit, mentor, motivate, train, evaluate and lead team members to accomplish the goals and objectives of HR and the company.
  • Assist in implementing competence development programs to secure talent for the medium and longer term.
  • Work closely with the business managers to reduce employee turnover and strive towards an “employer of choice” brand that secures valuable employees.
  • Assist managers to develop succession plans for their areas

Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)

  • Designs, develop, implements, and oversees the organizations environmental, health and safety programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities and to ensure that all facilities are following regulations.
  • Ensures that accidents are investigated
  • Promotes safety-conscious work performance and training programs
  • Provides safety performance measures
  • May conduct studies, audit and investigations to ensure compliance with government safety and health laws, standards and regulations

  • Supporting health and wellbeing initiatives and other site-specific initiatives and projects
  • Collaborate with EHS colleagues with sharing best practices and develop ment from a perspective
