Business Controller

SRP SA Southern Europe, Middle East and CIS

(flexible location)

JOB PURPOSE

  • As our Director of Business Control, you’re responsible for driving performance management across the sales area, and you proactively take lead in operational and profitability improvement opportunities. You’re a member of the Sales Area Management team and report to the Sales Area Manager of Southern Europe, Middle East, and CIS.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support our business in strategical and tactical financial matters to enable successful and fact-based decision making

  • Advise and challenge sales teams in finding improvements, driving business development, and implementing our business strategy

  • Set appropriate action plans that align to our strategies and regional business objectives - focusing on containing costs and enhancing profitability.

  • Preparation and validation of business cases and investment proposals

  • Validate and share financial data to the organization.

  • Monitor, measure and analyze business activities and operating results from a financial, operational and governance perspective

  • Manage forecasts, financial results, profitability analyses and advise on profitable growth

  • Ensure the operation governance and compliance processes are both adhered to and improved.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum seven years’ experience from working in a progressive business and finance

  • Preferably in a manufacturing environment

EDUCATION

  • University degree in Business and/or Finance

COMPETENCIES

  • You have the confidence and the ability to challenge, influence and guide decision making

  • Experience from providing operational and financial advice to different organizational levels

  • Knowledge and experience from financial systems

  • The ability to navigate in a matrix and cross-cultural environment

  • Pragmatic and customer focused

  • Autonomous and independent to drive change and able to work in a team

  • Understanding of governance and compliance processes

  • Solid skills in Office 365, data warehouse solutions and understanding of ERP solutions

  • English must be excellent
