Service Excellence Coordinator

Sandvik Mining & Rock Technology, the leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining industry, currently has an opening for a Service Excellence Coordinator at our Smyrna, GA or Elko, NV location.

The Service Excellence Coordinator is responsible for developing long range planning, assisting with business administration; and with service/parts quoting as an integrated team member within the National Services Team, USA region. The Coordinator will work to improve customer perception by adding a consistent approach to all customer engagements; such as quarterly review presentations, adding value to the Parts and Service organization. This position will report to the National Service Manager, Parts and Services.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Planning and Scheduling: Growth and Development

  • Develops long range plans for technician and staff strategic positioning, forecasting cost and revenue in alignment with expected customer growth; consistent with identified account plans as part of Parts and Services Commercial goals
  • Assists team in meeting utilization targets and capacity requirements
  • Participates as an active member in specific ad hoc account teams
  • Develops quarterly customer review presentations, capturing the relevant key performance indicators and action logs
  • Key contact for National Services Team in creating service and parts proposals
  • Provides input into strategic plans for competency development
  • Brings best practices from other industries or competitor activities to enhance the service offerings within the US

Financial

  • Develops long range forecasts for service cost and revenue
  • Reconciliation of actual vs forecast on monthly cost centers, tracking variance against budget
  • Participant in the value of work done biweekly reporting to internal and external stakeholders

Customer Service

  • Ensures internal and external customer satisfaction as a contributor to the quality and timely response to requests

Safety and Environment

  • Complies with Sandvik EHS policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirements
  • Identifies and reports any unsafe work habits
  • Strives to find safer ways for customers to work with Sandvik’s products

Personal Leadership

  • Ensures that all activities are carried out in accordance with Company Values, Policies and Procedures
  • Takes responsibility for personal development and enhancement of skills
  • Stays current on industry developments, competitive offerings and issues affecting service and customers
  • Takes responsibility for personal development and enhancement of skills

Role to be based out of our Smyrna, GA or Elko, NV location.

Your profile

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related. Five years’ experience in operational or maintenance service functions.

  • Strong knowledge of the heavy equipment industrial service industry
  • Strong customer service focus, internal and external
  • High level of professionalism, honesty, and integrity
  • Strong planning, scheduling, financial and organizational skills
  • High level of drive and determination to achieve targets and goals
  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time and eager to learn
  • Commercially astute with demonstrated business acumen
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate others to achieve outcomes
  • Ability to build relationships within the industry and in the community
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and listening skills
