The Kanthal Product Area specialises in heating alloys, elements, modules and systems for industrial heating and high temperature applications. Primary markets are the semicon and solar industries, glass industry, chemical and petrochemical industries and many other branches of industry in which a high level of expertise and reliability are needed in the delivery of industrial heat.

We are now looking for a Process Engineer to work within our technology team and contribute to the technical control of all manufacturing processes, providing front line support and initiating continuous improvements.
As a technical specialist, you will provide support to the first line management team to resolve product and process issues. You will take responsibility for the implementation of new products and processes into the manufacturing environment and work with a high degree of autonomy to ensure that they are compliant with yield expectations.
A driver of change, you will influence, coach and motivate others to make continuous improvements to processes and production methods and make cost reductions using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques.
You will spend a large proportion of your time on the shop floor, providing support to production. You will hold a holistic view to ensure manufacturing is aligned with the demands of the whole business.
You will develop strong working relationships with all departments to ensure effective communication and prepare written reports detailing progress and recommendations. An organised and self-motivated individual, you will manage your time efficiently by prioritising tasks to manage multiple concurrent projects.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be educated to Degree level in a relevant field – i.e. Chemistry, Chemical and or Materials Engineering
- Have some knowledge and experience of manufacturing techniques and principles such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
- Be a team player with a proven ability to think creatively and communicate at all levels,
- Have experience in a similar manufacturing environment, however we welcome applications from recent graduates.
