About the role:

The Business Development Manager for GET & Buckets, will support the APAC Sales Area as a strategic partner to develop and maintain key customer relationships including dealers and to identify business opportunities that meet or predict customer needs and achieve significant growth and long-term goals. In this role you will report to the General Manager, GET & Buckets and the position will be based in Perth, WA.

As the Business Development Manager, you work with the Sales Area to ensure that a clear and competitive sales strategy is developed to grow GET and Bucket sales and market share. You build strong relationships with regional sales teams and channel partners which includes mentoring, training and education on the product range and product application.

You lead the development of sales strategy, offering solutions and deal implementations to support Sales Areas to retain existing accounts and secure new opportunities for factory direct, and aftermarket sales.

You hold Sales Managers & PSSR’s within the Sales Area accountable to maintain an accurate and ongoing sales pipeline and to update the CRM regularly. You initiate regular feedback sessions to evaluate the pipeline health and maintain an open communications channel with the Business Line Manager and Sales Manager to address customer issues. You support the Sales Area to forecast sales targets and you are proactive in ensuring that the GET & Buckets product is included in other Sandvik aftermarket bundle offerings.

About You:

To excel in this role, you have 8 - 10 years’ experience in sales and marketing preferably in the mobile mining equipment industry. You have a technical background and a business or engineering degree or equivalent experience. You have a strong track record of coaching/mentoring sales teams on the sales process and achieving KPI’s.

You have a natural ability to influence, persuade and negotiate and a proven background in selling to key decision makers. You are pro-active at interpreting the needs to of the customer and finding solutions while engaging support from technical experts and engineering teams. You are commercially astute and know how to assess and manage business risk. You have excellent customer relations and communications skills and as the organization is a global player, you have well-developed English skills. As a role model to the business, you will demonstrate visible and proactive safety leadership.
