Cybersecurity Solution Engineer – Detect and Respond

Are you ready to make a real difference in global cybersecurity? At Sandvik Group IT, we combine stability with innovation to deliver world-class solutions. We’re now looking for a Solution Engineer to strengthen our cybersecurity capabilities and help us stay ahead in an ever-evolving digital landscape.

Your new team

You’ll join the Detect & Respond Platforms (DRP) product area – a key enabler for Sandvik’s Global Security Operations. Our mission is to provide expertise, support, and maintenance for critical security tools, with a strong focus on Microsoft E5 security solutions and Azure technologies. We’re a small, collaborative team that values transparency, knowledge sharing, and proactive problem-solving.

About your job

In this position, you play a crucial role in enhancing productivity, profitability, and sustainability within the department. You work primarily with Microsoft E5 security stacks, including Microsoft XDR, Defender for Endpoint, and Sentinel, as well as Azure-based solutions. By providing your technical expertise, you support operations, drive deployment projects, and ensure our security posture aligns with best practices and industry standards. You’re involved throughout the lifecycle of services and solutions – from development to maintenance – and play a key role in knowledge sharing and capability building within the team.

This role is flexible within Sweden and we offer a hybrid work solution. Your team is mainly located in Stockholm, while stakeholders are in Sandviken, so regular presence at these sites is expected.

Your profile

We’re looking for an experienced engineer, preferably with a background in large global organizations. You have deep knowledge of Microsoft E5 licensing and security technologies (XDR, Defender for Endpoint, Sentinel) and Azure services. Experience with common policies, practices and procedures within Cybersecurity is a plus, along with knowledge in deployment projects and stakeholder management. You communicate fluently in English, and Swedish is an advantage.

You have an analytical, problem-solving mindset and work independently with ease. Creative and adaptable, you thrive in a fast-changing environment and switch tasks effortlessly. As a true team player, you support and coach colleagues while challenging when needed. Your strong communication skills help you build trust and relationships across our global organization.

Our culture

At Sandvik, we’re tech driven, innovative and entrepreneurial. We believe that success is a team effort so we value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive culture where people can be themselves and reach their full potential. So, we invest in supporting each other, learning together and celebrating our differences. Visit our stories hub, LinkedIn or Facebook to get to know us further.
