In this IT Specialist role, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities related to delivery of IT in terms of: infrastructure (network, telecommunications, basic software, hardware, servers) and applications/database. You will be
responsible for ensuring IT supply, both in terms of available resources (internal personnel and external suppliers) and be accountable for the Delivery of IT Services in given area/geography. You will maintain IT performance indicators and follow-up on IT Delivery precision (Service’s, SLA’s, System Operations and IT Projects). You will be responsible for IT Supplier Management (internal and external) for all deliveries in corresponding area/geography as well as execute on local IT Projects (sometimes complex or specialized).
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in supporting PC/Laptop hardware, Microsoft PC OS, and Microsoft Office. Additionally, support will be required for network printers, copiers, industrial label printers, and wireless barcode scanners.
Network and Technical Support Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain IT concepts to non-technical individuals.
- Proven experience in supporting PC and Laptop hardware.
- Expertise in Windows PC OS support and configuration.
- Experience working within an Enterprise IT environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities for PCs and other network-enabled devices.
- Fundamental understanding of Networks, including DNS, DHCP, and Subnets.
- Basic knowledge of Routers, Switches, and Wireless Access Points.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting network issues using command line utilities such as ping, nslookup, arp, etc.
- Ability to work effectively within a structured IT environment.
Certification:
- Possession of a CompTIA A+ certification, demonstrating technical support proficiency.
- Optional: Additional certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA, reflecting advanced networking expertise.
- Alternatively, equivalent education such as a degree in Computer Science.
The ideal candidate will combine strong network skills with technical support experience, capable of troubleshooting a wide range of network and hardware issues to provide timely and efficient resolutions. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills are essential for success in this role. Professionalism, organization, and self-discipline to complete required documentation of activities are also key attributes we are seeking.
The compensation range or this role is $50,000 - $62,000 annualized salary and is eligible for our annual bonus opportunity.
