About your role

In this role, you will be responsible for driving local IT operations and Mining IT strategy. You will collaborate closely with IT service delivery teams to ensure that services align with business requirements and deliver optimal value. A key part of your responsibilities includes managing IT projects from initiation to completion. Additionally, you will serve as a member of the local management team, contributing to strategic decision-making and cross-functional coordination.

Your responsibilities include

  • Develop and maintain solid relationships with Sandvik business stakeholders.

  • Proactive informing and advising the business units about requirements and changes in the IT area.

  • Ensure alignment between Sandvik’s Global and Business Area’s IT standards and strategies with Finland business requirements.

  • Responsible for local IT Projects, management, and coordination.

  • You have authenticated experience in managing IT services also in the OT area.

  • IT Service Design, Transition and Operations including Life Cycle Management.

  • Supplier management of selected local and global IT suppliers.

  • Ensuring IT compliance and IT security including the local implantation of Sandvik Group standards.

  • Manage IT budget, forecast and Cost Center and participate in major business change initiatives.

About you

You have a master’s degree in IT and experience of IT service delivery in demanding production environment. You have excellent leadership skills, and your way of working is active, self-driven and systematic and you can establish strong professional relationships with relevant stakeholders. You communicate fluently both in Finnish and in English.
