Your mission

In this role, you develop solutions for automatically deriving and creating production data, such as drawings, machine programs, measuring programs and process lists, from product data and CAD models. You work in various programming languages, such as Python, Java, C# and Sandvik's internal domain specific languages to name a few, to create a seamless flow of information throughout our different manufacturing processes.

This naturally includes routing, process preparation, design, development, testing, debugging, and implementing information for production processes. You suggest solutions and functionality to our business partners and provide technical assistance to our application developer team. You work on projects for our Gimo site as well as our other production units globally.

The location for this position is Gimo, Sweden and we offer you a hybrid work solution.

Your profile

We’re looking for someone with knowledge and experience of programming and engineering, and preferably a background in manufacturing and industrial engineering. Acting locally in a truly global environment calls for excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English.

It’s highly beneficial if you have knowledge and experience in:

CAD/CAM system and solutions.
Specification of product requirements, such as GD&T and PMI.
Python, Java, C# and other programming languages.
Used to work using agile methodologies.
Solution design and product development.
Manufacturing Execution System platforms and processes.
Production preparation processes.
K8s and Microservices architecture and development.
Creating solutions for I4.0 using the latest technology stacks and Big Data approach for AI and Machine Learning.
